AutoSPAM has two SPAM lists working together: a manual list (entries you flagged yourself) and an AI-learned list (entries the system learned automatically from frequency analysis, junk-folder bootstrap, and AI override).
- Paid plan: both lists are active and combined. AI keeps adding new spammers automatically. Unlimited list edits per day. Priority processing — emails handled as fast as possible.
- Free plan: only your manual list is active. The AI-learned list is paused, not deleted. New spammers must be flagged by hand. Cap of 20 list edits per day (combined across SPAM/ALLOW/etc., to keep the free tier fair). Processing runs every 30–90 minutes (idle priority).
- Re-subscribing: the moment you re-activate paid, the AI-learned list resumes immediately — nothing is lost.
Free-tier daily message: once per 24h you’ll see a status entry like “Your AI-learned list (1,247 senders) is paused. Your manual entries (43 senders) remain active. Reactivate anytime to restore full protection.”

Week 1 — Training Mode

What happens when I move an email to an _AutoSPAM folder?
The system learns from your action and applies it to ALL future emails from that sender. For example, if you move an email to _AutoSPAM/ALLOW, all future emails from that sender will automatically go to your INBOX. The email you moved will also be automatically sorted to its correct destination.
How often should I check the _REFUSED folder?
Check it 1-2 times per day when the _REFUSED Folder feature is enabled. This folder only contains emails from unknown senders that the AI couldn’t confidently classify. Most spam is already handled automatically, so _REFUSED typically contains legitimate emails from new contacts. If you prefer, you can disable the _REFUSED folder in settings and manage new senders directly from your INBOX.
I accidentally blocked someone. How do I unblock them?
Find any email from that sender in your _TRASH/SPAM folder and move it to _AutoSPAM/ALLOW. The system will remove them from the blocklist, and their future emails will be delivered normally.
Can I use AutoSPAM with multiple email accounts?
Yes — you can connect multiple email accounts and protect them all through a single AutoSPAM subscription. What email providers are supported?
AutoSPAM works with Gmail, Outlook, Office 365 (with direct integration), Yahoo, and all IMAP-compatible email providers. Both personal and business accounts are supported.
How does the frequency-based spam protection work?
AutoSPAM monitors how many emails each sender is sending within specific time windows (1 hour, 12 hours, weekly). If a sender exceeds the threshold, they’re automatically blocked. Thresholds are automatically calculated. Known/allowed senders have higher limits than unknown senders.
What is fake-sender protection?
Fake-sender protection detects when someone tries to send emails pretending to be from your own domain (e.g., fake emails claiming to be from your boss / phishing for access etc.). These are automatically blocked.
Do the folders need to be in English?
No! AutoSPAM automatically creates folders with names translated into your language. The system works with folder names in English, German, French, Spanish, Czech, and many other languages. Your team can use AutoSPAM in their native language. Set your language at Settings → Billing Information → App Language on the BOTS4.me/bots dashboard. Onboarding instruction emails are also sent in your chosen language.
What’s the difference between AutoSPAM standalone and AutoSPAM in Mail2ERP?
Mail2ERP includes a basic version of AutoSPAM to not process each SPAM email, but the standalone AutoSPAM product has advanced features: AI-powered sender evaluation, frequency-based spam protection, fake-sender filtering, VIP lists, and sophisticated automation. We recommend using Mail2ERP with AutoSPAM together for complete email workflow automation.
Can I turn off the AI automation features?
Yes! All smart features (frequency protection, fake-sender detection, AI evaluation) can be toggled on/off individually in the dashboard at BOTS4.me/bots. You can use AutoSPAM as a simple manual system or with full AI automation.
How long does AutoSPAM keep emails in folders?
AutoSPAM automatically cleans up old emails: emails older than 30 days are deleted from _TRASH sub-folders. These _TRASH folders are also kept under 1000 emails. This happens automatically – no maintenance required.
Where can I see statistics and logs?
Visit the dashboard at BOTS4.me/bots to view detailed statistics, processing logs, sender lists, and configure all settings. You can see exactly how many emails were processed, blocked, allowed, with exact logs of which email was processed and how.
What is the _TRASH/AutoSPAM folder?
AutoSPAM’s AI continuously analyzes incoming emails for suspicious patterns — content, sender behavior, unusual frequency, and more. Emails that are flagged as suspicious are automatically moved to _TRASH/AutoSPAM without any action on your part. You should check this folder periodically (e.g., once a week) for any real emails wrongly moved here. If you find a legitimate email there, simply move it to _AutoSPAM/ALLOW — the sender will be approved forever and their future emails will go to your INBOX.
What is Attachment Security?
Attachment Security is a set of 7 filters that automatically block emails containing dangerous file types (executables, scripts, macros, disk images, archives, and web content). Blocked emails go to _TRASH/AutoSPAM and are marked as UNREAD so you can review them. Four filters are ON by default (executables, disk images, macros, scripts) and three are OFF by default (common archives, uncommon archives, web content). Toggle each filter individually in your dashboard settings.
A legitimate email was blocked by Attachment Security. How do I recover it?
Check your _TRASH/AutoSPAM folder — blocked emails are marked as UNREAD for easy identification. Move the email to _AutoSPAM/ALLOW to approve the sender permanently. If you frequently receive a specific file type (e.g., .zip from a supplier), consider turning off that particular filter at BOTS4.me/bots → Settings → AutoSPAM.

How do I reverse any decision (VIP, custom list, etc.)?
Move any email from that sender to _AutoSPAM/ALLOW. This resets the sender to a clean state — all previous decisions cleared. Their emails will go to regular INBOX.
What are Custom Folders?
You can create up to 3 custom sorting categories (like FAMILY, CUSTOMER, PROJECTS) at /bots → Settings → AutoSPAM. AutoSPAM creates learning folders (_AutoSPAM/FAMILY) and destination folders (_FAMILY). Move emails to the learning folder to sort senders into that category. Changes can be made once every 8 hours.
Can I share my learning with family or friends?
Yes! Enable Monthly Lists Export in your settings. You’ll receive a monthly email with your learned lists. Share these with anyone — they import by sending the file to [email protected]. The lists are imported to the account that sends them. Each imported list replaces the matching list by name (e.g., a file named “VIP” replaces the recipient’s VIP list). Teach AutoSPAM once, benefit together.
How does Learn from Junk work?
When enabled, AutoSPAM reads your existing Junk/Spam folder daily and learns from it automatically. Any spam you’ve already marked with your email client gets imported into AutoSPAM’s knowledge.
What is the _QUEUED feature?
_QUEUED intercepts emails server-side before they reach your INBOX. AutoSPAM processes them in a hidden _QUEUED folder, and only clean emails appear in your INBOX. It works with Gmail, Outlook/O365, and IMAP providers.
What does Smart text analysis detect?
Smart text analysis analyzes email content in all 31 supported languages, detecting urgency manipulation tactics, scam phrases (lottery, crypto schemes, fake medicine), and phishing attempts (account verification, password resets). Each category is scored to avoid blocking real emails by mistake.
Is there a free version?
Yes — the Freemium plan is limited (daily / weekly caps) but has no time limit. 🔧 Troubleshooting
⚠️ Emails aren’t being sorted automatically
Check these things:
- Verify AutoSPAM is active in your dashboard
- Make sure you have sufficient credits or an active subscription
- Check that email access permissions are correct (not in SHOWCASE mode)
- Wait 5-10 minutes – AutoSPAM processes in batches every 5 minutes. Initial activation can take up to 60 minutes – depends on current server load.
- Check the processing logs in the dashboard for any errors
⚠️ Legitimate emails are going to SPAM
Solution:
- Find the email in your _TRASH/SPAM folder
- Move it to _AutoSPAM/ALLOW to allow the sender
- Or move it to _AutoSPAM/VIP if it’s from an important contact
⚠️ Too many emails in _REFUSED folder
This is normal at first! As you train AutoSPAM by moving emails, the _REFUSED folder will have fewer and fewer items. AutoSPAM learns from each action. After a week or two of training, you should see significantly fewer emails landing in _REFUSED. Alternatively, you can disable the _REFUSED folder in settings if you prefer all emails to arrive in your INBOX.
Tips to speed up training:
- Spend 10-15 minutes sorting through _REFUSED on the first day (if enabled)
- Move ALL emails to appropriate folders (_AutoSPAM/ALLOW, _AutoSPAM/SPAM, _AutoSPAM/VIP)
- The more you teach it, the smarter it gets
⚠️ _AutoSPAM folders aren’t showing in my email client
Try these steps:
- Refresh/reload your email client
- Check if folder creation is enabled in the dashboard settings
- Manually create the folders if needed (see folder names in guide)
- Make sure you’re not in SHOWCASE mode (read-only access)
⚠️ Emails with attachments are being blocked unexpectedly
Check these things:
- Go to BOTS4.me/bots → Settings → AutoSPAM and review which Attachment Security filters are enabled
- Check _TRASH/AutoSPAM for the blocked email (marked as UNREAD)
- Move the email to _AutoSPAM/ALLOW to approve the sender
- If needed, turn off the specific filter (e.g., block_common_archives) that is blocking real emails by mistake
⚠️ VIP emails aren’t going to _VIP folder

- VIP feature is enabled in the dashboard settings
