Which cookies and browser storage bots4.me uses — and the cookie-free statistics we keep ourselves

Website Statistics Without Cookies
We measure how our website is used ourselves, on our own web server. This uses no cookies and stores nothing on your device. It is not part of the cookie banner’s “Marketing” choice; you can switch it off with your browser’s privacy signal or by refusing “Statistics” in the banner (see below).
What is counted
- The page you opened (without anything after the “?” in the address)
- The website or campaign link that sent you (for another website: only its name, e.g. “google.com”)
- The language version of the page, your country (derived from your IP address by Cloudflare) and your device type (phone, tablet or desktop, from the information every browser sends with each request)
- Only if you allow “Statistics” in the cookie banner: how many seconds a page stayed visible on your screen (measured when you leave the page; nothing is stored on your device)
How your privacy is protected
- Your IP address is never stored. To count different visitors, we keep a pseudonymous code made from your IP address and browser type with a secret that is replaced every day and then deleted, so the code cannot be recalculated from your IP address. Page views on the day you create an account can be connected to that account until they are deleted after 60 days.
- If your browser sends a “Global Privacy Control” or “Do Not Track” signal, or you refuse “Statistics” in the cookie banner, your visit is not counted at all.
- Individual page views are deleted after 60 days; only daily totals are kept.
- Our staff, automated bots and the BOTS4.me mobile app are not counted.
- When you create an account, start Discovery or place an order, we keep with your account which campaign, website or partner brought you to us. This is removed from your account if you ask us to erase your personal data.
- Cloudflare, which protects our website, may also give us aggregated, cookieless traffic totals.
